Synonyms are words that have the same meaning. It helps in the way that you use other word for the word you have used already. For example, you already used the word beautiful, you may use the synonym of beautiful in your sentence. Just like pretty, lovely, attractive, etc,.
Antonyms are words that have the opposite meaning. For example, synonym and antonym are antonyms. They have unlike meanings.
Learning this two can help so much in your English speaking and writing. I especially love using synonyms. It challenge me in finding other meaning of a word.
